We regularly have pupils continuing on to full time training after having their 'grounding'with us. This year our graduates are - Natalie Dauncey - London Studio Centre Heather Gould - London Studio Centre Louise Henry - Urdang Academy Rebecca Hunt - Italia Conti Rebecca Marguet - Bird College Dylan Holdsworth - Sylvia Young In addition to this there are many that continue onto The Brits school in Croydon and other dance related courses. We encourage all pupils to perform on stage as much as possible. This helps the children focus in class because they know what they are working hard for! During the past year our dancers have performed in - Surrey Youth Ballet English Youth Ballet's East Surrey Dance Festival Surrey Dance Festival Tonbridge Dance Festival Company of Friends 'Annie' East Surrey Operatic 'Annie' This Christmas Season we have many dancers in pantomime at the Harlequin Theatre Redhill and Dorking Halls. Every pupil in the school took part in the School Show 'Dance Directions' which took place at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill, October 2006. The next school show will be Spring 2008. This leaves some time to concentrate on our many exam sessions which include professional exams as well as rosettes, medal tests and grades. Our ex pupils currently dancing professionally are - Tyrone Singleton - first soloist with the Birmingham Royal Ballet Company. James Forbat - English National Ballet. Michelle Walker - cabaret dancer on cruise liners Sarah Hayes - Lead cabaret dancer in Majorca Simone Clarke - Prima Ballerina with the English National Ballet Congratualtions to ex pupil Christie Goddard, who following a very successful career has become engaged to Shane Ritchie and has a lovely baby boy. We are very pleased to have trained many dance teachers. Vicky Gardener, Lucy Jewett, Kim Smith and Joanna Wright are currently teaching in schools. Miss Gemma Hammond and Miss Jenny Clarke, who teach at our school were entirely trained by Miss Valentine and Mrs Walker from a young age. We are also pleased that our teachers Miss Kelly, Miss Rossanna and Miss Gemma are regularly appearing on Television - watch out for them on X factor and the Paul O'Grady show!
